I was born in Manhattan and grew up in Queens, NY. I never noticed stained glass until I backpacked Europe as a young adult. I easily gravitated to the magnificence of the many churches and cathedrals that featured brilliant windows filled with color and story. What captured my imagination was the infinite shapes, colors, and ways various glass types were presented and incorporated.
After taking one stained glass window making class, I was hooked. I have now been making windows for over 40 years. I enjoy using various textured glass within each design and enjoy experimenting with different color combinations, designs, and frames. Combining my wife’s and my passion for antique shopping with designing stained glass windows using repurposed antique pieces, became a delightful fusion that captured my imagination.
Another passion of mine is volunteering. My wife and I volunteer for FreedomToChooseProject.org – where we teach communication skills and other transformation intra- and interpersonal skills.
My wife, Linda, and I currently live in Northern California.
Accepting the challenge of repurposing beautiful antique elements and unique frames with extraordinary stained-glass materials to make one-of-a-kind creations, has been a long-standing passion of mine. Bringing life back to antiques with unique designs, materials, and colors is what helps define my unique style.
Each moment the light changes or the piece is observed, elements of shape and color are seen anew - making each piece an ever-changing original each day.
What drives my creativity is my desire to create one-of-a-kind pieces of art—showcasing beauty and inspiring joy within those that view my pieces. Creating beauty and inspiration through my art is my goal and intention, and how I make a positive contribution to the world.
Speaking of contributing to the world, a portion of all proceeds are donated to charity.
